While I call this activity baby Picasso, it should really just be paint in a bag... but baby Picasso sounds so much better. This was Sydney's first artistic activity and it was really easy to put together with great results. All I did was get a piece of cardstock, cut it in to the shape of a heart, drop some dollops of paint on to it, and carefully place it into a gallon sized ziploc baggie. I didn't quite put the heart and paint in my baggie carefully enough as some of the paint smeared, but the activity still worked just fine. Once my paint was all secure in my baggie, I set it in front of sister and let her have some tummy time while squishing and smearing the paint around the paper. She had fun banging, squishing, and attempting to eat, and I absolutely love the end result! Great first (and clean) art project for a baby. Oh, and pretty exhausting as you can see below... Cost: Free if you are a paint hoarder like me or about $2 if not

AuthorHi! My name is Cassity and I am the mom to a little 2 year old boy named Izzy and a baby girl named Sydney. I am lucky enough to get to be a stay-at-home mom to them and we have fun thinking of new activities to do together in the afternoons. We created this blog as an opportunity to share those activities with you. Archives
